The Darfur Rehabilitation
Project sponsored an event to showcase and unite young performers
for a humanitarian cause. The event presents pianists, cellists, a
violinist, and a singer, all of who express their hope against the
suffering in Darfur through their various talents.
DRP has led and facilitated
trips by the Religious Leaders of African Ancestry for Darfur to
refugee camps. There, they have delivered clothes, created a
library, and established life-long friendships with the refugees.
The group of volunteers successfully transported some 500 boxes of
supplies to the refugee camp.
Several volunteers worked together and received the assistance of
fellow humanitarians. “Project Cord- Christian Outreach Relief and
Development in the Bureau of De’Abeche,” for example, guided the DRP
volunteers to the refugee camp. As a grassroots project that started
in March 2008, the DRP sponsored visit to Darfur reveals the success
of donations.
