Seeking Justice…
The Darfur Victim’s Project
In January, 2005, DRP contacted the husband and wife team of human rights attorneys, Wanda Akin and Raymond Brown for advice on granting Darfurian victims access to the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Having consulted with the ICC for Rwanda and practiced before the Special Court for Sierra Leone, their collective experience in seeking justice and reparations for victims of genocide would prove invaluable. Thus the Darfur Victims' Project was born.
In June of 2006, the Browns traveled to The Hague and filed applications with the ICC to formally begin the process of representing Darfurians.
At this stage the Browns have identified and compiled data from potential victims of the Darfur Diaspora in Sudan, Chad and the United States, including Indiana, New Hampshire, and New York.
Darfur Rehabilitation Project, Inc. is a member of the Coalition for the International Criminal Court

The Browns are accepting additional pre-applications for Darfurian victims.
